Pre Purchase Inspections
A building inspection is recommended on any property you are thinking of purchasing. Without a pre-purchase inspection, you won’t know the full condition of the dwelling, whether it has been well maintained or whether it has significant issues that may require substantial repairs. A pre-purchase inspection will provide you with sufficient information to help you understand any issues or potential problems with the property to safeguard you from any unexpected and substantial expenditure in both time and money down the track.
What Does the Report Provide?
A Pre-Purchase Building Inspection is a comprehensive and independent document completed in accordance with Australian Standard 4349.1.
The report describes the condition of all the various building components and whether they will require your attention. The report will explain any existing problems, advise on repairs and also indicate any remedial or maintenance requirements that you need to consider prior to purchasing the property.
The building report will contain photos of prominent items so that you can see what issues may exist and what they look like. It also contains a glossary of technical terms to help you understand the report.
